Tom Asbridge “A Sound Investment” Tom Asbridge, originally from Marion, Kentucky, is fast making a name for himself in singing engagements across the country. Tom has over 25 years professional experience as both a single act and band vocalist at motel lounges, supper clubs and stage shows from Virginia to Texas. His personality, wide repertoire and versatile blend of progressive country, popular music and even a little rock and blues combine to make him a “hit” with all kinds of audiences. Tom’s credits include performances with such well-known stars as Jack Greene and Jeannie Sealy, countless charitable benefits, T.V. shows and personal appearances. Tom performed at the Opryland Hotel as an entertainer and judge for the finalists of the National Sweetheart Beauty Pageant. In the Mid 70's Tom organized a band in Kentucky. The band played Friday and Saturday nights at social clubs in the area and quickly began working four nights a week, while each member continued with their day job. After four years, Tom discontinued the band, marketed his talents through a booking agency out of Huntington, West Virginia as a single entertainer. He appeared in numerous clubs across the Mid West which eventually led him to Memphis, TN. While in Memphis, Tom broadened his career by studying music, vocal training and stage presentation along with appearing nightly at various local clubs. Tom’s popularity grew while in Memphis. He appeared on early morning talk shows due to the successful recording release promoted through Ace Cannon Studios. Even though Tom’s schedule encompassed most of his time, he still appeared at numerous charitable events which inclued St. Jude’s and Methodist Hospitals. After two years in Memphis, Tom and his promotional staff directed their efforts towards a more lucrative career in Houston, Texas. Houston was very receptive and supportive to Tom’s talents. His versatility is absolutely amazing. He is multi-talented, in that he not only has an exceptional voice, but his imitation of other talented artists and his varied instrumentals are truly outstanding. it is rare for a single entertainer to produce the sounds normally found only in groups. His style of entertainment runs the gamut from Blues to Pop and from C&W to the Oldie Goldies. So whether you want to just sit and listen, or swing or sway to his very danceable sounds, you are assured of a most enjoyable evening.

Reviews (The Scene) February 2008 ONE MAN BIG SHOW Multi-instrumentalist and singer Tom Asbridge (saf-sax.com), that is. I caught the oh-so-popular Asbridge at theTree House, the Bay Area's long-time traditional bistro on NASA Parkway at El Camino. Asbridge was pickin' and grinnin' in top form; and music lovers, thats a dandy show. During the evening, he accompanied himself on electric guitar, harmonica, tenor saxophone and electric fiddle as well as using some of the best sequenced music tracks that I've heard. Even though I caught Asbridge's last set on a Tuesday night, he still had a goodly number of enthusiastic patrons dancing and having a blast. Asbridge did a remarkably diverse set. Many songs were done by request. Both vocally instrumentally, he handled all of those styles remarkably well. Some of the highlights were: "Mr.Bojangles," "White Lightenin'," "How Blue Can You Get," (terrific vocals and guitar,) Ya'll Come," "Futher On Up The Road," "Fly Me To The Moon," "Canadian Sunset" (sax instrumental) and "Rocky Top" (fiddle instrumenial.) Bravo! Bravo!
Reviews ROCKIN IN 2006;Review from (The Scene) February 2006
With terrific Tom Asbridge (saf-sax.com), that is, at the Tree House (treehousebar.com) super New Years Eve gala. What a party! The packed house of revelers was in the mood to boogie down; the multi-talented Asbridge, one of the Bay Areas most popular entertainers, obliged them. He did an exceptionally wide variety of music across numerous genres. Asbridge has a smooth, strong voice that allows him to do ballads and rockers equaly well. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, he accompanied himself on the electric guitar, tenor saxophone, and electric fiddle. He used sequenced music to enhance the audience’s dancing pleasure. Crowd favorites included "That’s All That Matters To Me,” “For Once In My Life,” “Who’s Your Daddy” “Play That Funky Music,” “Neon Moon” and “New York, New York.” Bravo! Bravo! FYI: Asbridge plays the Tree House regularly Please see the Tree House advertisement for his performance schedule.
Tree Swing; Review from (The Bay Area Runner) 2005
Tree Swing; Nope, not an old tire tied to a tree limb, we’re talkin’ super entertainer Tom Asbridge (saf-sax.com) puttin’ down swinging sounds at the Tree House. Asbridge was in good voice and he did a fine job on tunes that required a wide range of vocal styling. He also did a first rate job playing the tenor sax, electric guitar, and harmonica. His easy-going stage personality and interaction with the audience kelp everyone smiling all night. I really enjoyed his arrangement of Hank Williams Sr.’s standard, “Your Cheatin’ Heart”. It featured a sax solo reminiscent of influential 60s saxophonist Boots Randolph’s signature style. Some of the tunes that filled the dance floor were Marvin Gay’s “How Sweet It Is”, the oft-covered “Sexy Eyes”, and the Bob Wills’ country classic, “Faded Love”. Asbridge’s quality performance was rewarded by frequent strong applause, the best critique there is.
